Flap testing of all types of envelopes – safe, reliable, 100%!
The inviolability of privacy of correspondence is a fixed and basic right in the civilised world. But was would happen if letters with contents worthwhile protecting were transported with an open flap by mistake? In that case the high objective of anonymity is lost because anyone could have access to its contents without being noticed while it was on its way to the recipient.
The Ministry of Finance in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia / Germany was the first authority to take a step toward a 100% safety in the delivery of tax statements. Three systems with FLAPchecker test devices in Düsseldorf / Germany ensure the correct sealing of the envelopes and the correct amount of glue for the envelope flaps.
While letters "shoot by" the testing device at approx. 2.2 m/s the full surface of the flap is checked in 3D.
