Camera-supported recording of empties on pallets
For a long time now, camera systems have been in use to detect and sort crates of beverages after they have been depalletised. However, up until now is was not technically possible to detect them while they were still stored on the pallets.
For automation when depalletising empty crates and kegs from pallets in particular it is important to have previous knowledge of the contents. For further processing you have to know whether the bulk packing has been sorted according to the type of beverage, whether there are any external crates or whether the automatic depalletising is endangered in any way. Depending on this, the pallet either has to be taken to the automatic or manual depalletising facility. Opsis PALcontrol can now take over this sorting function.
Opsis GmbH with over 20 years of experience in the field of artificial viewing has made a quantum leap with opsis PALcontrol. It works with a bionic software system which imitates the vision of a human on the computer. A total of 9 systems are in operation at the mineral water businesses of Hassia & Luisen and Niederlichtenauer Mineralbrunnen, as well as the Veltins Brewery and are fulfilling their tasks unerring and untiringly.
